My responsibilities as a GPLN veterinarian are threefold: to protect and promote bird health and the poultry industry, to defend public health, and to advance
scientific knowledge. I manage the Carnesville Laboratory, where my support staff and I complete both monitoring and diagnostic work to ensure bird health. I
travel into the field when necessary to support quality poultry and poultry products by solving problems, performing inspections, and encouraging appropriate
animal welfare practices. Finally, I educate clients about avian diseases and biosecurity procedures to limit disease spread.
